Kristen Anne Bell is an American singer and actress born in the year 1980. She was born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell - a television director - she is an American actor and singer. Her parents are born in Polish origin (mother), and German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen developed a talent in the performing arts from an early age on stage. She was just 12 when she attended her first audition, and was able to win a role in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell 13, who was 13 when her mom signed to become an agent was cast on advertisements for newspapers and television. In the same year, she also began classes in acting. Bell appeared on the screen in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 in a role that was not credited to her. Bell studied at Shrine Catholic High School where she was involved in music and drama club. The Wizard of Oz was presented by the high school and she took home the role as Dorothy. Bell was a student of musical theatre at the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts in New York City after graduating. Bell, who graduated in 2001, decided to leave her studies at the university to play her role as Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. It was also in 2001 that Bell made her first appearance in a credited film, Pootie Tang (2002). However, her part is cut off and only the credits show her. Bell was part of the Broadway revival The Crucible starring Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
