Antonia Lofaso

The food of Chef Antonia invites you to discover the inner depths. Her food stirs curiosity. It was born when she left into the Long Island suburbs and entered the rich cultural environment in Los Angeles. She believes of the fact that cavatelli and carnitas can co-exist seamlessly on the same menu reveals a taste that evolves constantly. The dishes she serves have a common vision, embracing the present as well as reminiscing about the previous. Scopa Italian Roots is a restaurant which was established by Lofaso in 2013. The restaurant was opened by her because of her Italian-American background. The restaurant's version of old-school Italian is regarded as the one of Los Angeles' most compelling Italian restaurants. Lofaso is described by many as a local restaurant that consistently serves meals that are delicious, authentic and inviting. Lofaso studied under the best chefs to learn their refined methods. But she didn't hesitate to take bold decisions in order to honour her instincts. She rose quickly through the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago and went on to make a difference in the kitchens of famous chefs located in Los Angeles while working closely with many high-profile celebrities. Lofaso created Black Market Liquor Bar with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi in Studio City, California. Lofaso was able to find the space in Black Market as well as her partnerships. Lofaso could find the space to be creative that she desired through this collaboration. Black Market has no one idea in its head and it is that way. It could begin with potato chips dill and shishito peppers followed by the lobster roll Korean wings and a succession of meatballs. Antonia provides the overwhelming range of flavors. Lofaso assesses the success she has had over the course of her career based on the innate ability she has to get to know her audience well and remain authentic to who she is. She's appeared on of a variety of television shows such as Top Chef Chicago, Top Chef: All Stars as well as Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child on The Food Network and ABC's Real O'neals. Her talents continue to be recognized in her role as a judge on the CNBC's Restaurant Startup. Lofaso has released her book, The Busy Mother's Cookbook: 100 Quick and Delicious Recipes, in 2012, with Penguin. The book also tells the story of how she faced challenges while she studied at the French Culinary Institute. She was raising her daughter Xea also. Lofaso believes that her successes stem from her love of cooking. She is capable of keeping her finger on the pulse of this industry by focusing on the kitchen. Through the Chefletics brand, she's altering the appearance of her industry by re-designing clothes for the kitchen that are stylish as well as functionality. Lofaso will adhere to the goals of her customers. The brand she has developed is Antonia Lofaso Catering to help in achieving that.
